seems unfair for him to now suddenly become obsolete, at least as anything more than a (as Bunny put it) 'symbol' - now, I don't care for symbols, I don't care for strutting around with Excalibur Prime - but I do care about being forced to limit myself just to play him.Īll Prime Frames can use their base skin variants, so there is literally no cause for complaint when it comes to Primes being stronger than normal Frames, and normal Frames becoming obsolete beyond that point. Prime doesn't need to be more powerful than Umbra, in fact I'm entirely for them being the same - just so everyone has access to an Excalibur of equal strength much like all the other Primes, but for something that a great many have paid for (as that was the only way to get Excalibur Prime). Makeing it an Unobtainable Pay2Win of the worse kind. No, the best alternative would be to allow Umbra Forma. The alternative would be to make Excalibur Prime the best but hard locked behind the Founder Exclusive. Originally posted by Walrus-Sama:This is how it should be. Umbra leaving Prime in the dust is not how the future Umbras should be approached. Excalibur is one of the few frames I run with all 3 'main' Warframe mods (Redirection, Vitality, Steel Fiber) because he still performs really well against 120 Corrupted Heavy Gunner's with those equipped. He's better than normal Excalibur sure, but he's completely obsolete in the face of Umbra (unless you run without Vitality or Steel Fiber, which I do not). I'm not going to delete Excalibur Prime, but he now serves no purpose at all. I usually delete obsolete frames, such as regular versions that I have Primed, because they're using up space and I'll never both using them (obviously). I know DE wanted to satisfy non-Founders, but leaving Prime in the dirt (despite buffing his armour) is kind of annoying. This is with the exact same mod setup - only Umbra mods instead of normal mods. Excalibur Umbra has 330% Extra HP (330 extra HP). Excalibur Umbra has 82.5% Extra Armour (247.5 extra Armour). Excalibur Umbra has 36% Extra Ability Strength. Now, let's Forma them both and upgrade Excalibur Umbra's mods: 12 remaining mod slots (Excalibur Prime has 4 remaining - no Exilus Mod) - this allows for Power Drift (21% total extra Ability Strength). 6% extra Ability Strength (Intensify is Max Rank on Excal P) 20 less HP (Vitality is Max Rank on Excal P) 15 less armour (Steel Fiber is Max Rank on Excal P) NOTE :: Umbra Mods are still Rank 5, the base rank they come as - so not even upgraded yet. Of course, he requires no small Endo investment, but with my current Excalibur setup (which I copied onto my Umbra) leads to this:: Umbra is a direct and massive upgrade from Prime. Yes, their stats are identical - but those polarities, and those mods. I am also going to update the walkthrough of The Sacrifice on the quest page. Make sure to bookmark this page as I will be updating this as soon as the update drops. You don’t have to farm this frame, just complete The Sacrifice quest and upon completion you will awarded with the Level 30 Excalibur Umbra. Perfect for Fashion frame, the true end-game. So this calms me down a little bit, the amazing thing about the frame is that it looks way better than the Prime Variant. I am a little salty that I was not able to get my hands on Excalibur Prime when it was available. Excalibur Umbra GuideĮxcalibur Umbra is going to be the first Umbra frame with seperate polarities and stats and will be a considerably big upgrade to the vanilla Excalibur in the game (well rip my 5 forma build). So all tenno rejoice as the time has come. As you might already know, Excali Umbra is already available in the chinese build of the game, DE had confirmed that they will be bringing Umbra to the global build really soon. Excalibur Umbra Guide – Excalibur Umbra is going to make arrival for players globally really soon, with the announce of The Sacrifice in E3, each and every Warframe player is excited.
